JEWISH LAWYERS GUILD

Raskin & Kremins Nov. 22, 2021

We are pleased to announce that our founding partner Michael F. Kremins has been named President of the Jewish Lawyers Guild. The Jewish Lawyers Guild is an organization of lawyers and Judges founded in 1962 upon fellowship, faith, and tradition. As the organization grew, it began hosting an annual dinner where it confers awards to Judges who exemplify the qualities of Benjamin N. Cardozo and Golda Meir. Guild activities include lectures, programs, webinars, and tours throughout the year that are of interest to the legal and Jewish communities, including an annual program in remembrance of the Holocaust.

The Guild holds an annual Sukkot Celebration and Hanukkah party where gifts are donated and later distributed by members to children who are hospitalized with serious and often life-threatening diseases or conditions. The Guild participates in the Judicial screening panels and provides a CLE program for its members. The Guild also funds two scholarships at area law schools.

The Jewish Lawyers Guild’s success has far exceeded expectations. Over the years, the JLG has helped to build bridges of goodwill that have led to a greater understanding and cooperation between our members and the community. Dinners from the annual gala are donated to Dorot, a Non-Profit organization that provides food to senior citizens in the community. JLG also offers humanitarian assistance by funding a mobile breast examination bus for JALBCA. JLG also participates in the Komen Race for the Cure, a cause that has helped touch the lives of millions of women suffering from breast cancer. Mr. Kremins has also led the fight against antiSemitism in promoting education and programs dealing with this very subject.

At the conclusion of Mr. Kremins’ term as President, he will be elevated to Chairperson of the Board and will oversee all Board activities through the end of 2023. Mr. Kremins is “privileged and honored” to be part of such an esteemed and important organization.
